PSAT at Langley
The PSAT will be administered to all 9th, 10th, 11th grade students on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Langley High School.
For 9th grade students taking the PSAT 8/9, accommodations for students with disabilities who have been identified for testing accommodations in a 504 plan or an Individualized Education Program (IEP) are at the discretion of the school. Our professional opinion is that with the exception of students with a visual or hearing impairment, all students should take the PSAT 8/9 without accommodations. This is a practice test and thus an opportunity to establish or confirm the need for accommodations and provide the necessary documentation when making the required application through College Board for accommodations for the 10th grade PSAT, 11th grade PSAT/NMSQT or AP courses. For questions, concerns or application for accommodations, please contact Janice Dabroski, LHS Assessment Coach, no later than COB Friday, September 15.
Tenth and 11th grade students with disabilities who have been identified for testing accommodations in a 504 plan or an Individualized Education Program (IEP) may request accommodations for the PSAT/NMSQT. Accommodations must be approved by the College Board and documentation must meet the criteria outlined on their website. Not all students with disabilities require accommodations and some accommodations received by students in school are not deemed necessary by the College Board for the purposes of participating in the PSAT. Requests for accommodations must be completed and received by College Board by August 22, 2016. For 504 Plans, contact Sonya Williams, Director of Student Services or for IEPs, contact Pam Jelinek.
Additional information will be provided in the back-to-school packets in August or by contacting Janice Dabroski, LHS Assessment Coach, on or after August 4.
