We are beginning the search for a new principal for Langley High School.  A critical component of the process is to collect written input from staff, parents, and students. You are also invited to provide written input regarding the skills, experience, and leadership characteristics of our next principal.

Dear Langley High School Parents, Staff and Community Members:

We are beginning the search for a new principal for Langley High School. An important step in this procedure is to inform parents, staff, and community members about the principal selection process. An important meeting was held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. This meeting was held virtually and recorded.

We outlined the multiple levels of interviews that will take place to select a candidate who is the best fit and match to lead Langley High School. A panel interview will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The advisory panel will be comprised of three staff representatives, one student and three parent (or community) representatives from the Langley community. If you are interested in serving as a panelist, please submit your information by close of business on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 using the Principal Input and Advisory Panel Interest form. The Region 1 Leadership Team will review all submissions and select staff and community members to serve as either panelists or alternates for these interviews. The Department of Human Resources will contact the individuals who are selected to serve in this capacity.

Another critical component to the process is your input. We invite you to offer your individual, written input regarding the skills, experience, and leadership characteristics needed for Langley High School. You might also address any challenges or issues that a new principal will need to address. Please provide input detailing the skills, experiences, and leadership characteristics needed at your school. Include challenges and issues that the new principal will need to address. Principal professional skills include instructional leadership, school climate, human resources, organizational management, and communication and community relations.
