Welcome, Principal Greer!

Dear Langley High School Parents, Students, and Staff,

I am pleased to announce that Ms. Kimberly Greer has been selected to serve as the Principal of Langley High School, effective July 2, 2018. 

Ms. Greer is a dedicated professional educator who brings a wealth of teaching and leadership experience to the principalship. Over the last 26 years, she has had the opportunity to work as a teacher leader in various settings throughout FCPS and as an Assistant Principal at Westfield High School and South Lakes High School where she respectively supervised the English, ESOL, IB and Social Studies Departments. Her most previous position, at Marshall High School, she supervised the World Languages and Special Education departments. Throughout her career, Ms. Greer has been selected to participate in several leadership development programs to include LEAD Fairfax and the Center for Creative Leadership.

She has participated in and led professional development with local and national organizations such as the Wallace Foundation, and the National Association of Secondary Principals. She values collaboration with teachers, parents, and students as well as other key community stakeholders to ensure an optimal and equitable learning environment for all.

Ms. Greer completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Additionally, Ms. Greer holds an administrative endorsement in Education Administration from George Mason University.
