- FCPS is excited to announce an important update beginning with the start of the 2024-25 school year. Parents and caregivers will have the option to submit their student’s attendance directly through ParentVUE starting the first day of school, August 19, 2024. ParentVUE offers a more secure and reliable platform for managing students' attendance information.

All Day Absences: The Attendance feature in ParentVUE is the FCPS secure web solution for reporting all day absences.
Partial Absence: To report late arrivals, early dismissals, or to update already submitted attendance, please email [email protected].

Transfer FamiliesCome join Director of Student Activities Geoff Noto for the second Transfer Family Forum/Q&A on Thursday, September 12 from 9-10 am in the Lecture Hall. There will be a social coffee beforehand from 8:30-9:00. Mr. Noto will talk about extracurricular opportunities for our students including clubs, athletics, honor societies and community service.

Technology OrientationNew to Langley or do you have questions about Langley technology? Register for a virtual Technology Orientation on Friday, September 13 at noon. Langley’s Technology Specialist Dr. Lindsey Fisher will talk about SIS ParentVUE, Schoology, Chromebooks, Varsity Tutors, Talking Points and other FCPS translation resources. All parents are invited.

Saxon ServiceStudents can earn an hour of service credit during school! The first Saxon Service of the school year is Fri, Sept 27 in the Cafeteria during Saxon Time. Saxon Service offers interested students the opportunity to engage in a variety of service learning projects while earning one hour of service learning credit. Options include:
- Making dog and cat toys for area shelters
- Folding origami cranesfor people with cancer
- Making cards for hospitalized childrenfor active duty military
- Making blankets for area shelters
Making bracelets to support Reading students at a Title 1 school
- Playing freerice.comto help world hunger
- Crafting beads from recycled cereal boxes for a school in Haiti
All students are encouraged to participate! While not required, students are encouraged to participate in some kind of service while at Langley. It's an opportunity to relax, socialize and reap the positive social-emotional benefits associated with helping others. Students with at least 40 hours of service during high school (10 hours per year) are eligible to earn a Service Cord to be worn at graduation.

Virtual therapy sessions are available to FCPS high school students at no cost to provide them with a safe space to address concerns such as:
