Laptop, Charger & Textbook Collection Information
Important information about senior and underclassmen laptop, charger and textbook collection. All information is available in Schoology for students and information was also sent in the Sunday night's NYC beginning Sunday, May 16th.
Tuesday, June 8, 2021 is Election Day. FCPS school facilities will be used as polling locations. For that reason, June 8th will be a virtual synchronous learning day for students.
There is now a new Emergency Broadband Benefit available to eligible households through the Federal Communications Commission. This is a temporary benefit that will help to lower the cost of internet broadband service during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. Find out more.
COVID-19 Vaccinations Available for Ages 12 and Up
As our community strives to achieve herd immunity, vaccinating children ages 12 and up is a critical step towards achieving that goal and will help to keep our schools healthy places to learn. We encourage everyone 12 years of age and older to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible. Many locations offer same-day appointments, and some even have walk in availability. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or another adult at all community vaccination sites.

Chain Bridge Pre- Participation Physical Exam Night
Langley High School and McLean High School will host an opportunity to get your physical form completed for the 2021 - 2022 school year by our wonderful volunteer doctors on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. The joint physical night will fundraise for Langley High School and McLean High School Athletic Training Programs. This fundraiser goes directly to purchasing tape and first aid supplies/ equipment that certified athletic trainers use every day to provide healthcare to all student athletes at both schools.
Student School Board Representative Announced for 21-22 School Year
Pranav Choudhary, a junior at Langley High School, has been elected by the countywide Student Advisory Council (SAC) to serve a one-year term as student representative to the Fairfax County School Board, beginning July 1.
No-Cost Meals for All FCPS Students through June 30, 2021
Grab and Go meal sites are open 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Meal Kits sites distribute each Monday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., or until supplies are exhausted. Buses distributing meals are operating Monday through Friday. Meals will be available at no-cost Monday-Friday at all schools with in-person instruction. Specific information about meal distribution locations and bus distribution schedules are available.
Attendance Procedures for Return to School
We have changed some of our attendance procedures to comply with county, state, and federal guidelines as it pertains to mitigating the spread of COVID -19. We are going to be as “paperless” as possible in our efforts. Some of the changes will require students to use their personal smartphone. As such, should a student not have one, accommodations will be made for those students. Below is a summary of procedures for reporting absences, late arrivals, and checking students out of class.
