Devices and Connectivity

FCPSOn is a division-wide initiative, launched in 2019 to equip all FCPS students with their own device. This initiative promotes equity among all FCPS students and allows the county to provide streamlined access and support for all student devices. Key software is centrally provisioned  to students as needed to ensure all students have access  to the resources they need for their student experience. Qualified families can receive free internet through MiFi and Cox Connect2Compete.

ParentVUE

ParentVUE is your source for student information about grades, class schedule, test scores, attendance, and more. Your ParentVUE login grants you access to Schoology and other FCPS digital resources. 

StudentVUE

Students can view their grades, class schedule, and other information on StudentVUE by logging in with their student ID and password. StudentVUE is the official gradebook of record and while grades are regularly updated, they are not kept in real-time. Students can see their counselor or school tech specialists for assistance in receiving their network password.

Google Workspace for Education Fairfax County Public Schools students and teachers use Google Workspace for Education (fcpsschools.net) to collaborate on projects, complete assignments, and securely login to other platforms. In order to protect student privacy and data, accounts outside of the fcpsschools.net domain cannot access documents or emails created in fcpsschools.net, including documents created or submitted within Schoology and emails. Schoology Schoology is the official Learning Management System (LMS) of FCPS. It provides a universal digital learning environment for all students in grades K-12 where teachers and students work to collaborate on a variety of learning experiences and activities. Students are able to access many county-provided resources via Schoology in addition to their course materials. Parental Consent for Digital Resources

Fairfax County Public Schools uses a variety of resources to support student learning. In cases where FCPS contracts with a vendor to host student information, FCPS requires that the vendor adhere to the security and privacy requirements specified in a confidentiality agreement included in their contracts. FCPS does not have contracts with every instructional tool vendor.  Many valuable instructional tools are governed by Terms of Service (TOS) and include both free and paid tools. Some of the digital resources your child may use this year require parental consent. MySchoolBucks
